I am currently a high school teacher in Wilmington, Delaware. I teach AP level history classes and electives, work in diversity stewardship, and build community partnerships.
Previously, I was an assistant professor of Public History. I taught material culture and museum studies classes at the undergrad and graduate level, and do work on community-based public history projects. My monograph , Exhibiting Scotland: Objects, Identity, and the National Museum, came out in 2018 from University of Massachusetts Press.
I continue to be interested in issues of community engaged teaching and learning, best practices in pedagogy for high school and the transition to college, and disability justice and intersectional diversity work, among other related issues.
